The Underwood Law Firm, P.C. is an award-winning, statewide, law firm specializing in
a real estate/ business niche and seeks an experienced civil litigation attorney to join
our thriving practice. The position offers the opportunity to take on meaningful and
complex litigation while working collaboratively in a client-facing role with substantial
court appearance opportunities. If you understand civil litigation in California, then we
can provide you with the tools and education for this niche, known as partition law.
The Position: We offer a supportive environment with competitive pay, mentoring and

your dog, or other loved ones. The ideal candidate will be responsible, with supervision
and guidance, for handling cases from inception to resolution, including in court
proceedings, depositions, negotiating with opposing counsel, and advising clients.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
Active license to practice in CA
3-5 years of experience in civil litigation (real estate, probate or business
preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Must reside in San Diego County

The Underwood Law Firm is a boutique real estate law firm looking for a 2L or 3L to work as Law Clerk in our rapidly growing law practice. If you have a passion for real estate, we want to talk with you.
This position could become a full-time associate position for the successful applicant. The firm seeks applicants who have an interest in its practice areas (real estate, business, litigation), and who want to actually learn how to practice law.
The responsibilities include (i) legal research and writing, including drafting complaints, discovery, briefs, letters, blog posts, and memoranda; (ii) developing litigation strategies to help clients achieve their goals; (iii) reviewing and investigating legal claims; and (iv) reporting to firm management. Attention to detail is very important. This is a fully remote position.
