Underwood Law Firm, P.C. is a boutique real estate law firm looking for an Associate Attorney with 0 to 3 years of experience to join our rapidly growing law practice. If you have a passion for real estate, and want to learn how to actually practice law, we want to talk to you.
This is a full-time position that provides, and encourages, the opportunity to learn and use legal skills in court and with opposing counsel.
The responsibilities include (i) appearing for court and depositions; (ii) negotiating settlements with opposing counsel and clients; (iii) conducting legal research and writing, including drafting complaints, discovery, briefs, letters, and memos; (iv) developing litigation strategies to help clients achieve their goals; (v) reviewing and investigating legal claims; and (vi) reporting to firm management. Attention to detail is important. This position pays a competitive salary. Attorneys can work remotely from home, or from a nearby office.
Desired Skills & Experience- California bar license or first-time bar exam results pending;
- Experience or strong interest in the firm's practice areas (Real Estate, Business, and Litigation);
- Excellent time, communication, management, and problem-solving skills;
- Desire to grow professionally;
- Strong computer and internet skills;
- This is a full-time position; contract attorneys need not apply.

This position could become a full-time associate position for the successful applicant. The firm seeks applicants who have an interest in its practice areas (real estate, business, litigation), and who want to actually learn how to practice law.
The responsibilities include (i) legal research and writing, including drafting complaints, discovery, briefs, letters, blog posts, and memoranda; (ii) developing litigation strategies to help clients achieve their goals; (iii) reviewing and investigating legal claims; and (iv) reporting to firm management. Attention to detail is very important. This is a fully remote position.
